Flat Jackie visits Christmas market in Münster, Germany

This weekend, Flat Jackie visited a German city Münster. Germany is known for its beautiful Christmas markets, and Münster is no exception! Flat Jackie walked through the markets that smelled of roasted sausages and apples dipped in red and green candy coating. Besides that, he took a picture on the Prinzipalmarkt, in front of the famous Town Hall where the Treaty of Westphalia, the threaty that ended the Thirty Years’ War in 1648, was signed. Behind Flat Jackie is the St Lambert’s Church.

The city is also known for its bicycle popularity. Flat Jackie visited the town at the end of November, but - boy, there were still so many people on the bikes! Later, as it was a very tiring walk, Flat Jackie went for a cup of tea and an Apple Strudel with Vanilla Ice Cream to a small bakery. This week, Flat Jackie will visit Bielefeld - another city in Germany; maybe he will take a look at the university in Bielefeld, and then travel to one or two more German towns before going to France and Slovakia.
