Flat Jackie visits Christmas market in Münster, Germany

This weekend, Flat Jackie visited a German city Münster. Germany is known for its beautiful Christmas markets, and Münster is no exception! Flat Jackie walked through the markets that smelled of roasted sausages and apples dipped in red and green candy coating. Besides that, he took a picture on the Prinzipalmarkt, in front of the famous Town Hall where the Treaty of Westphalia, the threaty that ended the Thirty Years’ War in 1648, was signed. Behind Flat Jackie is the St Lambert’s Church.

The city is also known for its bicycle popularity. Flat Jackie visited the town at the end of November, but - boy, there were still so many people on the bikes! Later, as it was a very tiring walk, Flat Jackie went for a cup of tea and an Apple Strudel with Vanilla Ice Cream to a small bakery. This week, Flat Jackie will visit Bielefeld - another city in Germany; maybe he will take a look at the university in Bielefeld, and then travel to one or two more German towns before going to France and Slovakia.

Flat Jackie visits Water Tower in Chicago, IL

On November 4th, Flat Jackie flew from Denver to Chicago. Flat Jackie stayed at the Pennisula Hotel on the Magnificent Mile and saw the famous Water Tower Landmark. He stayed in Chicago two nights and enjoyed wonderful dinners at Lawry's Restaurant and Joe's Stone Crab. He shopped 'til he dropped!

While visiting Chicago, Jackie felt a little mischievous and decided to play a trick on Jack's mother and Grandma. In the background you can see the photo of Flat Jackie making a break for it and running away on the busy streets of Chicago. Flat Jackie didn't mean any harm, but when he jumped up onto the hotel concierge desk. It took such a leap that he couldn't help but slide a bit when he landed and he fell right into the Concierge's computer Scanner! Wow, that tickled!

When Jack's mom finally caught up with Flat Jackie, she and grandma held flat Jackie's hand and went on their way to visit Grandy in Naperville, IL.
